Two weeks down, three to go, Carousel Fam! This week’s partner workout was a long one, and I wouldn’t be surprised if most of us are still feeling it in our calves and shoulders.
20 minute AMRAP
4 DB thrusters 50/35
6 Toes to bar / knee raises / sit ups
24 Double Unders / single unders
Partners were able to split reps anyway they wanted, with most choosing to do 1 round each before switching. We also introduced the option to use kettlebells or barbells (at a heavier weight) to accommodate the awesome showing we had at Friday Night Lights.
It was another long workout, but once again our members came together and kept the excitement and encouragement going throughout both heats. Perhaps the best part of the evening was having members join in on the fun who were previously afraid they wouldn’t be “good enough” to be partnered with anyone. And therein lies the beauty of CrossFit and our Carousel fam– each member puts their ego to the side and instead opts for encouragement, fun and learning.
So, if you’re unsure about joining us for Friday Night Lights– you shouldn’t be! Come join in on the fun and meet people you wouldn’t normally see in classes– I guarantee you’ll also surprise yourself with what you’re capable of.
